Men are always at war. I stalked Hrothgar's men and ended up at Hygmod's door. I watched the scene unravel. Once Hygmod saw Hrothgar's army, he "drew out his sword, with his left hand-a sign of truce-and dropped it" (98). He began offering gifts for forgiveness and for once, Hrothgar wasn't an idiot and declined. No matter how much gold, Hrothgar would not take it. However, once Hygmod brought out his sister, all bets were off. I would say this is a pathetic act of humans, but the sight of this woman brought me to tears. This woman was the new Jesus.
